Cecily Kate was born in Wellington, New Zealand. She grew up in New Jersey with her parents and beautiful sister. Cecily began singing when she received her first "Annie" record and knew she had found her calling.

Cecily attended Indiana University and earned a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in vocal performance. During and after college Cecily worked with the New York Grand Opera conducted by Vincent La Selva. Most notably Cecily sang the role of Annina in "La Traviata" at the summer stage in Central Park and performed at Carnegie Hall as a soloist in a Mozart Festival.

Cecily made her off Broadway debut as Belle in a "G & S Christmas Carol" where she was reviewed as a "Powerful, ringing soprano." She went on to play several roles such as Patty in "Grease", the title role in "Violet" and Roxie in "Chicago".

Cecily has worked in two productions at the Paper Mill Playhouse where she received her Actors Equity card.

Most recently Cecily made her Broadway debut in "A Wonderful Life" starring Brian Stokes Mitchell and Judy Kuhn. The show was named one of the ten best theatre of 2005 by Time.

Cecily spent last year sailing aboard Oceania Cruises where she performed her own cabaret and explored South America.
